The night’s keynote panel discussion, moderated by CNN gender and money writer Julia Carpenter, was entitled “Working Like A Woman: The Pros & Cons Of Advising Women To ‘Be More Like Men’ To Succeed,” and featured Julie Widler, EVP, Business Affairs & General Counsel at Sony Music Entertainment; Brittany Richter, VP, Head of Social Media at iProspect; Erin Cullen, RVP, Mid Market Sales at Demandbase; and Josh Backer, President, Advertising, SVP, Operations and Co-Founder at Unified.

The event also included two fireside chats: One featured Dr. Alaa Murabit, the UN’s High Level Commissioner, Health Employment and Economic Growth; and Lydia Dishman, a tech and innovations reporter at Fast Company who discussed “Female Representation and its Impact on Women’s Careers and the Global Economy”. The LEAD Awards were inspired by Unified’s LEAD Program, which was developed to create an open and supportive workplace community that encourages and inspires female employees to have the confidence to pursue their career ambitions at the highest level.
